What we look at for you
A short list of common, easy-to-get results. Each one explained in plain language.
Complete blood count (hemoglobin)
g/dLHemoglobin is the oxygen taxi inside your red blood cells. The complete blood count also shows how your immune cells and platelets look on that day.
Fasting glucose
mg/dLA single snapshot of blood sugar after a night without food. It reacts fast to sleep, stress and last night's dinner.
Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c)
%The three-month average of your blood sugar. Much harder to fool than a single fasting test.
Lipid profile — total cholesterol
mg/dLThe headline number of your lipid panel. On its own it says little — it's the split between HDL, LDL and triglycerides that carries the story.
HDL cholesterol
mg/dLOften called the 'return traffic' lipoprotein. It tends to rise with regular aerobic movement.
LDL cholesterol
mg/dLThe lipoprotein most studied in cardiovascular research. Targets differ a lot by personal risk, which only your professional can set.
Triglycerides
mg/dLThe most habit-sensitive lipid. Alcohol, refined sugar and a short fasting window all show up here.
AST (TGO)
U/LA liver and muscle enzyme. A hard training session in the days before the test can lift it on its own.
ALT (TGP)
U/LMore liver-specific than AST. It's one of the markers most linked to fat stored inside the liver.
GGT
U/LA sensitive liver enzyme that reacts strongly to alcohol and to some medications.
Creatinine with eGFR
mL/min/1.73m²An estimate of how well your kidneys filter. Muscle mass, hydration and creatine supplements can all shift it.
TSH
mIU/LThe pituitary's message to your thyroid. It's a first-line screening marker for energy, temperature and metabolism questions.
Vitamin D (25-OH)
ng/mLBehaves more like a hormone than a vitamin. Latitude, skin tone, indoor life and season all move it.
Vitamin B12
pg/mLCentral to nerve function and red blood cell production. Plant-based eaters and some medication users watch it more closely.
Ferritin
ng/mLYour iron storage tank — and also an inflammation marker, so it can read high when your body is dealing with something else.
